The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on May 18 at 9:00 a.m. ET will host the second in a series of two press briefings previewing President Biden’s trip to Asia. This briefing will address the agenda for the second in-person leaders’ meeting of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), including:
  • How the Quad features in the Biden administration’s Indo-Pacific strategy; 
  • Australia’s perspective, and the implications of the Australian election for this meeting; 
  • India’s priorities, and the importance of Quad private sector initiatives; and 
  • Japan’s goals, as well as how the Quad fits into Prime Minister Kishida’s foreign policy platform.
