Press Briefing: Previewing the Upcoming National Defense Strategy

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) International Security Program will host a press briefing to preview the National Defense Strategy ahead of its expected unveiling.

Among the issues that will be addressed:
  • How will the Strategy support and reflect the President’s National Security Strategy?
  • What DoD capabilities, means, and competitive advantages is the Strategy likely to emphasize?
  • What are the Strategy’s likely budgetary implications?
  • What are the key risks to achieving the Strategy’s goals?
  • What are the key issues to watch for in the follow-on Nuclear Posture Review and Missile Defense Review?
