Press Briefing: A Visit to the Israel-Lebanon Front

Anthony H. Cordesman, holder of the CSIS Burke Chair in Strategy, held a briefing for members of the media on Thursday, August, 17, 2006.

Dr. Cordesman commented on a recent trip to the region where he had discussions with senior Israeli officers and officials as part of a trip of military analysts sponsored by Project Interchange. He discussed the preliminary lessons of the war, what the Israeli Defense Forces did and did not accomplish, and prospects for peace and future fighting.
