CSIS is pleased to welcome these critical players in the journalism world to discuss press freedom and the role of investigative journalism in democratic governance. Argentina has recently undergone a change in government that many observers attribute in part to Argentina’s independent media. Venezuela is in the midst of struggle over democratic governance where the role of the media is of critical importance. In the United States, the pivotal nature of investigative journalism was recently in the “Spotlight”.
This series is made possible with general support to CSIS.
