Please join the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program on Thursday, June 29, for an online conversation with Ambassador David Quarrey, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom to NATO. Ambassador Quarrey will sit down with Max Bergmann, Director of the Stuart Center and Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program, to preview the upcoming 2023 Vilnius Summit. The conversation will touch on NATO’s support to Ukraine, defense investment pledges, NATO’s New Force Model, as well as the alliance’s long-term sustainable defense industrial capacity and more.
Ambassador Quarrey was appointed as the UK’s Permanent Representative to NATO in April 2022. Before this, Amb. Quarrey served as the Prime Minister’s adviser on International Affairs and Deputy National Security Adviser from 2019 to 2022 and as British Ambassador to Israel from 2015 to 2019.
