Public Perceptions of Violence and Current Developments in South Sudan
Please join us for a discussion of the political and humanitarian situation in South Sudan, expected to coincide with the return to Juba this week of rebel leader and former vice president Riek Machar, who will join a transitional government in a fragile step toward peace. Researcher Adrienne Lemon will open by sharing the findings of a new Search for Common Ground report on public perceptions of violence - including the alarming level of support found for inter-ethnic violence - before the panels turns more broadly to an examination of the humanitarian and political crises.
