Renewing American Leadership in the Fight Against Corruption

Wednesday, June 16, 2021 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Since the 1970’s, the United States has led many major initiatives on international anticorruption efforts. Now, the Biden-Harris Administration has made combating corruption, including kleptocracy, curbing illicit finance, and holding corrupt actors accountable, a core focus of its national and foreign policy agenda. CSIS has been a strong partner with the U.S. government, supporting research efforts aimed at identifying and rooting out corruption. With this month’s UN General Assembly Special Session specifically focused on Anticorruption, the release of the National Security Study Memorandum on the Fight Against Corruption, and the Administration’s Summit for Democracy on the horizon, the anticorruption work of the U.S. government is in the spotlight more than ever. Please join us for a wide-ranging conversation with U.S. government officials and implementers on opportunities for the United States to lead in this critical space.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
