February 7, 2018 • 3:30 – 5:00 pm EST

A panel discussion hosted by the Project on Military and Diplomatic History and the Missile Defense Project

Join us February 7 to explore how the U.S.-Russia relationship has for decades shaped the development and deployment of ballistic missile defenses. This discussion will feature Dr. James Cameron, whose new book The Double Game (2017) examines the complicated motivations and reservations of the American presidents who negotiated the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with the Soviet Union. Also joining us will be Ambassador Robert Joseph, former Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, and Bilyana Lilly, Assistant Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation and author of the book Russian Foreign Policy Toward Missile Defense (2014)
