On November 8 2007, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), and the Foundation for Democracy, Culture, and Liberty co-hosted a conference in Washington D.C entitled Romania in the EU: Impact on Development and Transatlantic Relations.

Conference panelists examined Romania’s economic development almost a year after EU accession. Romania was also discussed in a wider context in terms of regional stability, energy security, and transatlantic relations.
