This event will examine government and industry perspectives on scaling the use of AI and autonomy across the DOD. This event will be livestreamed on March 26 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
The event will begin with a panel discussion with Navy Captain M. Xavier Lugo, Algorithmic Warfare Division Chief for Artificial Intelligence Scaffolding/Integration at the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), and Colonel Matthew D. Strohmeyer, Joint All-Domain Command and Control Experimentation Division Chief at the CDAO. This panel will cover the CDAO’s principal efforts to scale the use of AI and autonomy across the department, focusing on its AI scaffolding initiatives, the Global information Dominance Experiment series, and how it is adopting generative AI through Task Force Lima. This panel will be moderated by Gregory C. Allen, Director of the Wadhwani Center for AI and Advanced Technologies.
The panel will be followed by a fireside chat with Mr. Jason Brown, General Manager for Defense at Applied Intuition. This dialogue will focus on how industry contributes to the development of AI-enabled capabilities at the DOD, the technical needs of the DOD when it comes to AI and autonomy, and how industry and government can better work together to deliver AI-enabled capabilities at scale. Mr. Brown will be joined by Gregory C. Allen.
