She served as the lead negotiator on the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. During the Clinton administration, she played a key role in negotiations with North Korea on its nuclear program. She is currently a senior counselor at the Albright Stonebridge Group and a senior fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
