Dr. Elizabeth Hervey Stephen has been a member of the Georgetown University faculty since 1987 and was the Director of the Science, Technology and International Affairs Program in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Prior to her appointment at Georgetown, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Carolina Population Center, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; a research assistant for the Center of Population Research, University of Texas, Austin; a social science analyst for the Demographic and Behavioral Sciences Branch of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development; a survey statistician for the U.S. Bureau of the Census; and a demographer for the Denver Regional Council of Governments. She also has taught at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
