Spectrum is National Security: Meeting America's Spectrum Needs
Brought to you by
America is facing a spectrum deficit that carries national security and economic consequences as adversaries like China angle to leap ahead. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) – which has critical mid-band spectrum – are key players in charting the path forward. Effective collaboration isn’t easy, but it’s essential to securing our future.
Join CSIS for an event on meeting America's spectrum needs and safeguard its national security. The event will begin with keynote remarks from NTIA Senior Advisor for Spectrum Policy Shiva Goel, followed by a panel discussion with former Acting Head of NTIA and Professor of Law at Michigan State University Adam Candeub, CTIA Senior Vice President and General Counsel Umair Javed, Senior Fellow and Director of the Hudson Institute's Quantum Alliance Initiative Arthur Herman, Senior Vice President and director of the CSIS Strategic Technologies Program James A. Lewis, and moderated by Strand Consult Executive Vice President and visiting researcher at Aalborg University's Department of Electronic Systems Roslyn Layton.
For further reading on this topic, please see earlier CSIS papers on the importance of spectrum for U.S. national security and economic strength.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
