India and the United States are at an important juncture in their economic partnership with both countries urging to strengthen trade and investment. A number of important issues are on the 2013 economic agenda that could influence the trajectory of the partnership, including the release of India’s 2013-2014 budget, the prospect of Stage II economic reforms, political jockeying ahead of India’s next elections, and continued negotiations on a U.S.-India Bilateral Investment Treaty.
