Julie Bishop was sworn in as Australia’s first female foreign minister in 2013 and is responsible for both Australia’s foreign policy and its international development programs. Minister Bishop is driving an innovation agenda across her portfolio, including through the launch this year of Australia’s InnovationXchange. She has previously served as Australia’s Minister for Education, Science and Training, and in a range of other ministerial and private sector roles.
