On
“Strengthening U.S.-India Commercial Relations
and the National Export Initiative”

Introduction by

Dr. John Hamre
President and CEO, CSIS

Moderated by

Amb. Karl F. Inderfurth
Senior Adviser and Wadhwani Chair
in U.S. - India Policy Studies, CSIS
and

Meredith Broadbent
Senior Adviser and Scholl Chair
in International Business, CSIS

Secretary Bryson recently led a business development mission to India, his first mission abroad as Commerce Secretary. During the March 25-30 mission, he met with senior level Indian government officials to advocate for U.S. export opportunities in India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure sector, and promote investment opportunities in America. The trade mission supports President Obama’s National Export Initiative goal of doubling U.S. exports by the end of 2014.  Please join us for an address by Secretary Bryson as he discusses the future of U.S.-India commercial relations and the wider role of foreign partnerships in the National Export Initiative.
