Strategic Japan 2025: Norms in New Technological Domains

March 19, 2025 • 10:00 – 11:00 am EDT

Brought to you by

Strategic Japan is a CSIS Japan Chair initiative to introduce research from Japanese scholars on regional and global challenges and the implications for the U.S.-Japan alliance.

This year, the Japan Chair invited two scholars — Koichiro Komiyama, Director of the Global Coordination Division at JPCERT/CC and a senior researcher at Keio Research Institute, and Tagui Ichikawa, Specially Appointed Professor of the Institute of Innovation Research at Hitotsubashi University — to explore dimensions of Japan's approach to shaping rules and norms in new technological domains, specifically cyber and AI.

The CSIS Japan Chair invites you to join a discussion with these scholars and experts from the United States on March 19, 2025 from 10:00am-11:00am.

This event is made possible with support from the Government of Japan.
