Taiwan's Environmental Leadership
Please join us on September 18th for a special event featuring Taiwan's Minister for Environmental Protection Dr. Lee Ying-yuan. Following introductory remarks by Dr. Michael Green and Deputy Representative James Lee, Minister Lee will offer remarks on Taiwan's leadership in global environmental protection as well as past and prospective cooperation for environmental protection between the United States and Taiwan. There will then be a roundtable that will include the Minister as well as U.S. EPA's Acting Assistant Administrator for International and Tribal Affairs Jane T. Nishida and energy expert David Ribeiro, moderated by CSIS's Scott Kennedy. They will discuss Taiwan's domestic programs and collaboration on important issues such as circular economy, sustainable development, clean energy, and air quality protection.
