The CSIS Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project and the Smart Women Smart Power Initiative have partnered to produce a critical conversation around how women successfully navigate the historically male-dominated, national security workplaces. Join Hadeil Ali, Deputy Director of the Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project, as she facilitates dialogue with national security experts on the value of inclusive and equitable workplaces. Hear from Emily Perkins, Executive Director of the Leadership Council for Women in National Security (LCWINS), Elana Aquino, Executive Director of Peace Direct and Board Chair of Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS), and Princess Bazley Bethea, Senior Director of Global DEI of Programs and Operations at CARE on how they found success and best practices for individuals and organizations to implement in their day-to-day work. The panel is kicked off with opening remarks from Kathleen McInnis, Senior Fellow of the International Security Program and Director of the Smart Women, Smart Power Initiative.
