Trade and Investment in Nigeria

February 14, 2017 • 2:30 – 4:00 pm EST

A Conversation with H.E. Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, Nigerian Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment

Join us for a roundtable discussion on recent economic developments and trends in Nigeria with H.E. Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, Nigeria's Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment. Due in large part to the fall in oil prices, Nigeria's economy finds itself in recession for the first time in decades. Dr. Enelamah will discuss the road to recovery through the lens of trade and investment: How can the Nigerian government help to reverse course and boost foreign investment? How will the new Trade Facilitation Agreement impact the ease of doing business in Nigeria? And what role can the U.S. government and U.S. companies play?

This event is made possible by general support to the CSIS Africa Program.
