A Conversation with Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares

Please join CSIS on Wednesday, January 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a conversation with Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares Bueno. After opening remarks by the Minister, Dr. John J. Hamre, CSIS President and CEO, will join Minister Albares to discuss the bilateral relationship between Spain and the United States and Spain’s crucial position on NATO’s southern flank. Minister Albares and Dr. Hamre will also address the upcoming NATO summit in Madrid in June 2022, Spain’s diplomatic efforts in the Western Hemisphere, and current dynamics in the Mediterranean and Sahel regions. This event will be livestreamed on the CSIS website and the online audience will have an opportunity to submit questions.
