August 2, 2012 • 3:00 – 4:30 pm EDT

Featuring: Andrew C. Kuchins

This roundtable discussion focused on Turkish, Russian, and Iranian policies with respect to the crisis in Syria. CSIS scholars, who are currently engaged in a collaborative research project on "The Turkey, Russia, Iran Nexus," offered brief remarks on how differing interests and policies of these three governments are influencing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis and may impact future U.S. and international responses to unfolding developments. Their comments were followed by a general discussion among regional experts, officials, and members of the media.
