The U.S.-Japan Alliance: Planning for President Obama's Trip to Japan

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) invites you to a public conference on Capitol Hill to improve understanding of policy developments in Japan and prevalent themes in the U.S.-Japan alliance. This is an important period for the U.S.-Japan alliance, particularly given President Obama’s scheduled April visit to Japan, which is an opportunity to showcase a comprehensive framework for bilateral cooperation and present a strategic vision for the alliance. The conference will feature panel discussions addressing U.S. and Japanese politics and expectations ahead of President Obama's planned trip.
