The CSIS Russia and Eurasia Program hosted a roundtable discussion on Vladimir Yakunin as a potential successor to President Putin in 2008. The discussion was lead by Nikolay Petrov, a Scholar in Residence at the Carnegie Moscow Center, and Igor Danchenko, a Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution. This event was the first in a series entitled "Kremlin Survivor," an opportunity for Russia experts to examine the possible candidates and scenarios for the 2008 Russian presidential election.
