2025 GSF: What Works? Leading Disruption in Industry and Government
Available Downloads
In a world of rapidly evolving threats, traditional defense models may not be enough to maintain the U.S.’s influence on the global stage. With new domains of competition in space and cyber domains—as well as the advancement of new capabilities and weapons within them—the development of non-traditional tools, novel partnerships, and disruptive approaches are crucial to secure the U.S. advantage both on and off the terrestrial battlefield. In this panel, General (Ret.) John “Jay” Raymond, Senior Managing Director, Cerberus Capital Management, and former Chief of Space Operations; Lieutenant General (Ret.) Jack Shanahan, former Director, Department of Defense Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, and former Director, Algorithmic Warfare Cross-Functional Team (Project Maven); Nini Hamrick, President, Vannevar Labs; and Corey Johnston, Executive Vice President, Strider Technologies, will join moderator Emily Harding, Vice President, Defense and Security Department, and Director, Intelligence, National Security, and Technology Program, CSIS, for a discussion highlighting how modern disruptive technologies—both inside and outside the government—can help the United States compete more effectively with China and turn security dilemmas into opportunities.
