The CSIS Asia Program is honored to host Senator Dan Sullivan, a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee for an armchair discussion on Taiwan. Dr. Victor Cha will moderate this discussion with Sen. Dan Sullivan on why the security of Taiwan matters so much to the U.S. and to the world.
Senator Dan Sullivan has been a leader in the Senate on this issue, calling attention to the threat the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) poses to a free and prosperous Taiwan. He has led numerous efforts in the Senate to advance bipartisan legislation in support of Taiwan, travelled to Taiwan in 2021 and led a bi-partisan Senate delegation to New York this past march to meet with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen during her transit.
This event is made possible through generous support to the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
