Wider Europe and the Transatlantic Link

The October 25 CSIS New European Democracies Project "Wider Europe and the Transatlantic Link" focused attention on the nascent democracies to the east and south of the shifting EU and NATO boundaries. With introductory remarks by Zbigniew Brzezinski and keynote address by Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried, the conference discussed the ultimate size and scope of a wider Europe and a wider Atlantic community.
