Wireless Security: Challenges and Solutions
On July 30, CSIS and the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) co-sponsored a conference on Tuesday, July 30, entitled "Wireless Security: Challenges and Solutions." Opening keynote remarks were delivered by Richard Clarke, chairman of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board, and Assistant Secretary of Defense and CIO John Stenbit gave the closing keynote speech. Other featured speakers included Art Matin, president of McAfee Security, Network Associates, Inc., and Harris Miller, president of ITAA. Panelists included Scott Charney, chief security officer, Microsoft; Dean Douglas, VP for Telecommunications, IBM Global Services Americas; J. Katharine Burton, assistant deputy manager, National Communications System; and Joseph Wilkes, director of Advanced Wireless Network Architectures, Telcordia Technologies. This is the third in a series of ITAA-CSIS conferences to examine key cybersecurity policy and technology issues.
