The Women for Water – Water for All Campaign
A Presentation by Kathy Baczko, Director of Global Partnerships at the WASH Advocacy Initiative
Kathy Baczko, Director of Global Partnerships at the WASH Advocacy Initiative, spoke at CSIS about the new Women for Water – Water for All campaign. Ms. Baczko also recorded a podcast on this subject. The initiative has two overarching goals for the next ten years: to engage women in a global campaign to promote awareness of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) issues, and to raise funds to provide solutions to the challenges those issues present. In addition to its global scale and ten-year time frame, Ms. Baczko said that Women for Water – Water for All will also be marked by a multi-disciplinary approach that bridges gaps between existing efforts on WASH and women’s issues; by partnerships between the public and private sector; and by the ways it will leverage resources. The official launch of Women for Water – Water for All is scheduled for 2012.
