The World Health Organization's Strategy on Climate Change and Health

The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) held a discussion with Dr. María Neira, Director of the Department of Public Health and the Environment, World Health Organization (WHO), on recent efforts by the WHO to develop a strategy for addressing the health effects of climate change. Dr. Neira provided a preview of the WHO’s upcoming report titled “Climate Change and Health,” to be released at the sixty-second World Health Assembly on May 18-27, 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland.
