CSIS and Bob Schieffer Launch a New Podcast Series, "The Truth of the Matter"

WASHINGTON, September 12, 2019: The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is pleased to announce the launch of a new podcast series, "The Truth of the Matter," hosted by CBS News journalist and CSIS Trustee Bob Schieffer and CSIS Chief Communications Officer Andrew Schwartz. In "The Truth of the Matter," Schieffer and Schwartz will turn to nonpartisan experts to get to the bottom of the critical policy issues that everyone is asking about.
 
“The public has more and more questions about global issues and not a lot of places to go for thoughtful, nonpartisan discussion,” said Schieffer. “To get to the truth of the matter, we’ll talk with CSIS experts and others who have been working these issues for years.”
 
In the series’ first episode, CSIS president and CEO John Hamre said that the United States is on the edge of a new epoch in global affairs. It is available now on the CSIS website, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.
