MQM in Pakistan: "Failure of the Centralized State"

CSIS's Post-Conflict Reconstruction Project (PCR) hosted Dr. Farooq Sattar, deputy convener of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Pakistan's National Assembly. He gave a speech titled, "Failure of the Centralized State: Avoiding Political and Economic Crisis in Pakistan."

Introductory remarks were made by Rick Barton, co-director of PCR. Ambassador Teresita Schaffer, director of CSIS's South Asia Program, also spoke.
