Homeland Security: Layered Defense, Ready Response
On November 17-18, 2010 the Consortium for Homeland Defense and Security in America will conduct its fifth annual symposium. This year's forum, titled "Homeland Security: Layered Defense, Ready Response," will examine select challenges across the homeland security continum -- civil and military, at home and abroad.
This year's symposium will take place at historic Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and will be sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs. CSIS is a co-host of the event, together with our Consortium partners: the United States Army War College's Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL), the GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute, and The Heritage Foundation.
The day and a half symposium will commence with a dinner address the evening of November 17th by Dr. Paul Stockton, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs. The second day will center on four panels, organized and moderated by the Consortium members. The fee for attending the dinner on the 17th is $40. There is no fee for attending the symposium on the 18th.
