As part of a project looking at the challenge of police reform in Africa,  CSIS introduces case studies from Nigeria, the DRC, and Southern Sudan.  Eric Guttschuss will discuss his new report, Everyone’s In On the Game, which catalogues corruption and human rights abuses by the Nigerian police force.  Marc Cohen will speak about his recent field work on U.S. security assistance to the DRC and Southern Sudan.  What can U.S. policymakers learn from the experiences of these countries as they design and implement programs of support for police and the wider criminal justice sector in Africa?
