A Discussion of Political Developments in Angola with Abel Chivukuvuku

Monday, May 20, 2013 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join the CSIS Africa Program for a discussion with Abel Chivukuvuku, opposition leader and president of CASA-CE political party in Angola. Mr. Chivukuvuku will offer his analysis of the internal political situation in Angola, including a discussion of the post-election climate and prospects for local elections in 2015. He will also discuss Angola’s expanding role in regional affairs in central and southern Africa as well as Angola’s relationship with the U.S. moving forward.  This event is part of the CSIS Africa Program’s Angola Working Group series, which explores economic, social, and political dynamics within the country in order to better understand Angola’s domestic and foreign policy priorities.
