South Africa’s Foreign Policy Priorities and the African Agenda

Mr Marius Fransman
South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation

South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Marius Fransman, will deliver remarks on his country’s foreign policy priorities in the context of its pursuit of the African Agenda. The Deputy Minister will focus on how South Africa is supporting the continent’s growth through the promotion of regional integration, peace and stability. South Africa’s growing role as a development partner in Africa will be highlighted with an overview of the envisaged South African Development Partnership Agency (SADPA) and how this agency will be a pillar of the country’s foreign policy. The discussion will also refer to South Africa’s inclusion in the BRICS formation as well the country’s objective of transforming international institutions.
