Discussion Session with the Special Envoys of President Musharraf
The delegation of the Special Envoys of President Musharraf comprising of Dr. Nasim Ashraf, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif and Ms. Kashmala Tariq lead a discussion session on December 5, 2007 from 3 P.M. till 4:30 P.M. in the 4th floor conference room at CSIS, 1800 K Street, NW, Washington DC.
The Special Envoys visited Washington to discuss the present situation in Pakistan. Dr. Ashraf is a retired medical doctor and has lived for several years in the United States. Dr. Ashraf is also the founding President of the Major Pakistani American Political Affairs Committee for American Pakistanis (PAKPAC). Barrister Saif is a lawyer with extensive experience in human rights issues and is a Federal Minister for Tourism in the current interim government. Ms. Tariq, a lawyer by profession, was a Member of Parliament in the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) government and also served as the Executive Director of the Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights (PCHR) in Pakistan.
