United State's Drug Policy In The Western Hemisphere

John Walters, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, discussed links between international narcotics trafficking and terrorism at an October 9 speech at CSIS. Walters said drugs fund nearly half of the terrorists groups identified by the State Department. In his remarks, Walters assessed U.S. drug control policy and the nexus of transnational organized crime and terrorism.
