The 2008 PONI Conference Series got underway on April 3 – 4 at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The two-day conference featured nine selected presentations and panel discussions on three topical areas: nuclear forensics, U.S. nuclear posture and infrastructure; and proliferation and disarmament challenges. Day one of the conference also featured a small group breakout session for attendees to identify, discuss and prioritize nuclear issues facing the next administration. Group findings were reported and explored in greater depth during a very spirited and productive plenary session on day two.
