Congressional Forum on Islam: Islamic Radicalization in the West: The Homegrown Threat with Mitchell Silber

Mitchell Silber is the Director of both the NYPD Intelligence Division’s Analytic and Cyber Units. Previously, he served on the Strategic Intelligence Staff for the Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence for three years, where he was responsible for strategic threat assessments for the Intelligence Division as well as for developing and maintaining relationships with foreign police and intelligence agencies. He is the co-author of the recently released NYPD report Radicalization in the West: The Homegrown Threat and a forthcoming book on Saudi Arabia entitled Inside the Kingdom: Saudi Arabia's People, its Politics and its Future. Mr. Silber earned his Masters Degree from Columbia University.
