US Trade Agenda 2011: Moving Forward?

Featuring a Bipartisan Panel of Former USTRs
Thursday, March 3, 2011 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
B1 Conference CenterCenter for Strategic and International Studies1800 K Street, NWWashington DC, 20006

Featuring a Bipartisan Panel of Former USTRs

On behalf of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 2011 Former USTR Trade Seminar.

While the last two years have yielded minimal progress on the U.S. trade agenda,   international economic developments continue to demand our government’s active engagement. The 112th Congress and the Obama Administration will consider many issues including: the implementation of three pending free trade agreements; taking stock of the impasse in the Doha Round; and responding to changing patterns of trade influenced by a new generation of trade agreements concluded without the participation of the United States.

We look forward to hearing from six former United States Trade Representatives:

The Honorable Charlene Barshefsky
Partner, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr

The Honorable William E. Brock
CSIS Trustee

The Honorable Carla Hills
Chairman and CEO, Hills & Company, CSIS Trustee

The Honorable Rob Portman
U.S. Senator

The Honorable Susan Schwab
Strategic Advisor, Mayer Brown LLP

The Honorable Clayton Yeutter
Senior Advisor, Hogan Lovells LLP

Moderator

Meredith Broadbent
William M. Scholl Chair in International Business, CSIS

This event has reached capacity, so we are no longer taking RSVPs. We encourage you to watch a live webcast of the event on this web page.
