PONI 2011 Summer Conference
On July 7 - 8, the CSIS Project on Nuclear Issues (PONI) hosted its 2011 Summer Conference. The event featured two days of panel discussions highlighting new thinking by rising experts in the field on key issues in nuclear science, policy and strategy. Keynote speakers for the event included Rose Gottemoeller, Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance; Michael Elliott, SES, Deputy Director for Strategic Stability, Strategic Plans and Policy Directorate (J5), Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Linton Brooks, Senior Adviser, Center for Strategic and International Studies.
