Visa Policy: Strength, Security Across Borders

Donald Manzullo (l), scholars, diplomats and business leaders explored the economic, security, scientific and diplomatic implications of post-Sept. 11 changes in U.S. visa policies at a May 3 conference cohosted by CSIS and the Graduate Management Admission Council. " In a globalized world, national security depends on interconnections, not walls," said CSIS Senior Fellow Gerald Epstein. "The United States must implement security measures that support, rather than frustrate, the foreign engagements that we rely upon for economic, scientific, technical, military, and diplomatic strength."
