How will they approach relations with Central and South America? How do Cuba and Venezuela figure into their respective foreign policy platforms? How does each candidate see Mexico’s role in the world? Will free trade and investment continue to be a central foreign policy objective? Is diversifying relations with Europe and Asia a priority, and if so, in what form? Do they anticipate a proactive foreign policy in the multilateral arena via international organizations—such as the UN and the OAS? How does national security feature in each campaign’s platform?
