The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves is a prime example of how the government is strategically partnering with businesses, foundations, non-governmental institutions and others to create innovative solutions to critical development challenges.
During the US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue in Beijing earlier this month, China made the historic announcement that it was joining the Alliance to help fight the more than 2 million lives lost each year to exposure to dirty cookstove smoke.
