Russian Tide: A Book Discussion with Author John Pepper, Former CEO Procter & Gamble

Building a Leadership Business in the Midst of Unprecedented Change
Tuesday, July 17, 2012 9:00 pm - 10:15 pm
1800 K Street, NWWashington, DC 20006

We are pleased to invite you to a discussion with John Pepper on the occasion of his new book "Russian Tide." Retired P&G CEO John Pepper traces development of P&G's business in Russia during the tumultuous 1990s as the company pioneered the bumpy road that was Russia's new economy and new free market at that time. John Pepper tells how P&G forged its path into this new marketplace, building an organization, then sweeping across Russia's vast geography to capture leadership positions with its brands.

John Pepper joined Procter & Gamble in 1963 and was named the president in 1986. He served as the ninth chairman of the board and CEO of P&G. Mr. Pepper retired from the company in 2002 and continued as chair of the Executive Committee of the board for an additional year. He became vice president of finance and administration for Yale University in 2004, also serving as a senior fellow there.
