China’s role in the AIIB: A Conversation with Yukon Huang

By: Bonnie S. Glaser

In this episode, we discuss China’s role in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) with Dr. Yukon Huang, a senior associate in the Asia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The conversation traces the political and economic origins of the bank from its inception to its first annual meeting in late June 2016, and explores the ways in which the AIIB contributes to China’s international influence.
