Asia's Contested Seas

Wednesday, July 13, 2016 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
CSIS Headquarters

The CSIS Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative and Southeast Asia Program are pleased to present Asia’s Contested Seas, a public symposium to discuss the maritime security issues facing the Asia-Pacific region broadly.

Following on from the Sixth Annual CSIS South China Sea Conference on Tuesday, July 12, this forum will situate the South China Sea disputes within the larger context of maritime issues facing the region. While the South China Sea is a critical issue, it is important not to lose sight of challenges in other Asian waters, including the East China Sea, the Indian Ocean, and internal Southeast Asian waterways.

This event is made possible with support from NHK and will be filmed for broadcast.
