Equinor Energy Perspectives 2018
The CSIS Energy and National Security Program is pleased to host Eirik Wærness (Equinor) to present Equinor's Energy Perspectives 2018. The discussion will be moderated by Nikos Tsafos (CSIS).
Energy Perspectives summarizes different narratives about the future of global energy demand and energy mix within the parameters of various scenarios. These scenarios are based on different assumptions about regional and global economic growth, conflict levels, technological development, and energy and climate policies.
The 2018 edition adjusts for last year's climate and energy developments, including technological advancements throughout the energy sector. Energy Perspectives is based on models and frameworks that Equinor uses to create long-term analyses of energy markets. The report is intended to foster greater understanding of uncertainty in the long term and what factors may affect this uncertainty.
