Main Street Defense Series: A Conversation with Bell’s CEO Mitch Snyder

Thursday, August 1, 2019 10:00 am - 11:00 am
CSIS Headquarters, 2nd Floor
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) invites you to attend a conversation with Bell’s President and CEO, Mitch Snyder, to discuss challenges in making generational changes in military systems (such as with Future Vertical Lift), the focus on Bell as a technology company, and the challenge of working with, while also competing with, big defense primes. Mr. Snyder is the president and chief executive officer of Bell, and a member of Textron’s Corporate Leadership Team. He leads a multibillion-dollar business that provides innovative products for defense and commercial customers across the globe.

The purpose of the Main Street Defense event series is to highlight the unique opportunities and challenges faced by ‘Main Street’ companies in the defense industry. By broadening the conversation to include entities headquartered in America’s towns and cities beyond the top five defense contractors, and by providing a public platform for discussion, CSIS engage new voices and provides a setting for a dialogue on important factors affecting the entire defense and security sector today, different from those that we usually hear about.

Mr. Andrew Hunter will moderate the discussion with Mr. Snyder. Please join us on Thursday, August 1st for this timely conversation.

This event was made possible through general support to CSIS.
